Current Volunteer Needs

District Anniversary: Ringold Block Party
Saturday, May 10, 12 – 3 pm
Ringold Street, between 8th and 9th Streets

    Outreach Booth    
    12-1, 1-2, or 2-3:30 (and assist with outreach booth tear down)
    Gear Swap Helper    
    12-1, 1-2, or 2-3:30    (and assist in gear swap tear down)    
    Gate Ambassador
    12-1:30 or 1:30-3    

    Volunteer for District Anniversary: Ringold Block Party

    Ongoing Volunteer Roles:

    •  Gear Swap Lead 
      • Solicit donations
      • Organize gearswap holdings
      • Set up gear swap day of event
      • Document money transactions
      • Coordinate pickup and drop off of gear swap items on day of event
      • Manage gear swap inventory
      • Provide staff with information regarding physical donations
    • Grant Writer
      • Research grants that the Cultural District may qualify for
      • Write grant proposals
      • Work with staff on grant submissions
    • Tours Coordinator
      • Set schedule
      • Contact and support tour guides
      • Schedule tours
      • Coordinate training of new tour guides
    • Maintenance Team
      • Create a log of placemaking elements in the Cultural District (pole wraps, banners, and sidewalk plaques)
      • Maintain log of dates checked and any damage noted
      • Email ED upon any discovery of vandalism
      • Report other public art maintenance needs.

      Detailed job descriptions for volunteers in these Committees are being prepared, but your participation is welcome at any time.  Varied levels of expertise and experience are welcome.
